Description

This is a magnificent Mid-Victorian solid silver and crystal claret jug by John Wilmin Figg, an illustrious and very collectable silversmith. Of generous proportions, the bulbous glass body mounted with an exquisite silver neck embossed with grotesque masks among fruiting vines and complete with Bacchanalian spout. The embossed hinged cover with a cast rampant lion. The engraved scroll handle joining a beaded silver girdle in the lower section of the jug.
