Description

This decorative George VI silver tea strainer was made in Birmingham 1939 by the prolific Barker Brothers. The pierced circular bowl, flanked by a pair of pierced fretwork handles . Fitted on the the original stand or bowl. The bowl plain and fully hallmarked.
Hallmarks:
Fully marked on the side of the bowl .
Full marks on the back of the strainer.
BB S LD for the Barker Brothers.
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letters "O" and "P" for 1939.
