Description
This delightful silver jewellery box was made in Birmingham in 1911 by Shepheard & Co, silversmiths and retailers . The domed circular cover with sunburst engine-turned decorations. The plain circular body raised on three cabriole legs.Gilt inner lid and original pale pink silk interior.
Brown Morocco leather base.
Hallmarks:
S&Co for Shepheard & Co.
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "m" for 1911.
Condition:
Good.
Engine-turned engravings on the cover a little worn at places from too much polishing over the years..
A couple of very minor flea bites dings at places, commensurate with age.
Strong hinge.
Clean original interior.
