Description

This wonderful mid-19th Century English silver sewing set dates circa 1840. Presented in its original red tooled leather case, it is fitted with the original silver tools, as usual with sewing implements of this date, they are unmarked. The beautifully worked tools comprise a thimble, a stiletto, a bodkin and scissors in a sheath. The case itself is in beautiful original condition.
Hallmarks:
Unmarked as was nearly always the case with small silver implements but tested as silver.

Condition:
The silver tools are in very good condition.
The box is in very good condition, snaps shut nicely, minor scuffing on cover commensurate with age.
