Description
This beautiful Victorian inlaid silver and mother of pearl visiting card case was made circa 1870. Of rectangular form, both front and back with mother of pearl diamond panels. The front inlaid with a silver cartouche engraved with Gothic decorations. The diamond shaped cartouche within an abalone border.The push button on the front opening to reveal the original velvet lined interior.
Hallmarks:
Unmarked but tested as silver.
