Description
This unusual and rather charming Art Nouveau solid silver desk thermometer was made by the prolific Levi & Salaman and is dated Birmingham 1907. Of Arts & Craft inspiration, the shaped elongated oak frame with a spot-hammered finish silver front. The oak easel frame inset with a brass thermometer.Hallmarks:
L&S for Levi & Salaman.
Birmingham Assay.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "h" for 1907.
Condition:
Silver frame in very good condition.
Original oak back and easel in very good condition.
Thermometer not working.
