Description

This elegant silver lidded preserve jar is dated Birmingham 1933 and was made by the highly collectable Hukin & Heath. The spherical crystal glass body with sliced-cut decorations. The plain domed silver lid with reeded handle. The base star cut. It comes with a very well matched silver preserve spoon made by A J Bailey and dated Birmingham 1921. The spoon with feather-edge border.
Hallmarks:
H&H for Hukin & Heath.
Birmingham Assay mark.
Lion passant.
Date letter "J" for 1933.
Hallmarks on spoon:
A.J.B for A J Bailey.
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "v" for 1921.
