Description
This superb pair of Edwardian solid silver candlesticks are in the very desirable Corinthian column style. Each square tapered base embossed with scrolls and bluebell garlands within beaded borders.Reeded columns.
Original detachable beaded sconces.
Loaded bases with replacement green felt.
Full hallmarks struck to the side of each base and struck to the sleeve of each capital.
Hallmarks:
JD&S for James Dixon & Sons.
Sheffield Assay Mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "i" for 1901.
Condition:
Excellent
No dents, a couple of very minor dIngs commensurate with age, barely visible and mentioned for accuracy.
No pin holes.
Excellent set of marks on capitals and bases.
