Description
This delightful silver and lilac enamel inkwell is dated Birmingham 1929. Of traditional Capstan form, it is a smaller example with a 2.5" inches diameter The spread circular silver base with a beaded borderComplete with the original inner glass receptacle.
Loaded spread circular body.
Green felt underside.
Hallmarks:
M&J for Marston & Jones
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "E" for 1929.
Condition:
Excellent.
The enamel is in very good condition.
The hinge is good and strong.
Hallmarks are clear.
Silver base with very minor dings.
