Description
This is a truly fabulous continental silver chain-mail cocktail bag bearing imports marks for Birmingham 1916. The fully hallmarked silver frame exquisitely pierced and engraved with flamingoes within foliate scrolls. The sides fitted a hallmarked silver belcher chain. The centre with a silver ball clasp.Both sides of the frame are separately hallmarked.
Hallmarks:
H.W.LD for Henry Williamson.
925 silver fineness.
Birmingham import mark.
Date letter "r" for 1916.
