Description

This beautiful George III silver cream jug was made by John Merry and is dated Lon don 1805. Of oval bellied form, it is finely bright-engraved with prick-dot motifs surrounding a vacant foliate cartouche.
Reeded border and reeded angular handle.
Hallmarks:
IM for John Merry.
London Assay mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "K" for 1805.
Duty Mark.
