Description

This unusual and very decorative Victorian silver plated table centrepiece was made by Deykin & Sons who were active in Birmingham from 1854.
The striped vaseline glass trumpet-shaped vase fitted on a circular pedestal base. The central holder supported by three seated griffins.
Electroplated marks for Deykin & Sons.
Period 1854 to 1985.
The style points to circa 1870
Dimensions:
Height: 20cm / 8 inches.
Base diameter: 10cm / 4 inches.
Rim diameter: 7.5cm / 3 inches.
Condition:
Very good.
A little base metal showing through commensurate with age.
