Description

This delightful 18th Century silver etui is of tapering form and is charmingly bright-cut with foliate decorations surrounding vacant shield shaped reserves.
In Georgian times, etuis - word of French origin - were very popular, they were small, usually ornamental cases for holding articles such as needles.
Dimensions:
Height: 4.5cm / 1.6inches.
Width at base: 1.5cm / 0.5 inches.
Condition:
Very good.
