Description

This exquisite 19th Century French silver preserve spoon bears the Paris Minerva hallmark with mint mark 1 for a high grade silver content (950). The shaped bowl engraved with foliate scrolls. The handle embellished with leafy decorations.
Hallmarks:
Head of Minerva with number 1 for 950 silver fineness.
Minerva with the lock of hair and with mint mark on the side indicating Paris rather than Provinces.
Maker's marks in lozenge, AC
