Description
This is a very rare Victorian silver vesta case enamelled with a yachting pennant signal. It was made by the highly collectable Sampson Mordan and is dated London 1880. Of plain rounded rectangular form, the front inset with a blue and white enamel maritime signal flag.The back plain, the sprung hinged lid with erased presentation inscription.
The base with striker.

Date letter "E" for 1880.
