This is a very early and exquisite wine label. This George II silver wine label was made by John Harvey and dates circa 1740. Of escutcheon form with a bright- engraved border and incised 'WHITE-WINE"
Suspended on a belcher link chain.
Hallmarks:
IH for John Harvey.
Lion Passant.
Dimensions:
Height: 3.5cm / 1.4 inches.
Width: 5cm / 2 inches.
Total length with chain: 22cm / 8 inches.
