Description
This is a delightful late Victorian black leather wallet with silver mounted corners on the front. It has a French Patent number. The interior with retailer's marks in gilt lettering. The sides fitted with pen holder, to open the wallet the pencil needs to be removed. The wallet opens to reveal a leather interior with several compartments for notes, documents and stamps.Hallmarks:
London Assay mark.
Date letter "d" for 1899.
Lion Passant.
