Description
This Victorian solid silver single sovereign case was made by the renowned Sampson Mordan and is dated London 1885. Both front and back embossed with wrythen fluted decorations. The front with vacant roundel .The sprung hinged cover operated by a push button. Opens to reveal a spring loaded compartment.Suspension loop.
All sprung mechanisms in good order.

London Assay mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "K" for 1885.
