Description
This beautiful Georgian silver mustard pot is dated London 1795 and bears the marks of Alexander Field. Of traditional oval form , the sides bright-engraved with ribbon-tied garlands within stippled borders. The front with a shield-shaped cartouche engraved with the crest of a dragon. The concave cover with ball finial and matching bright-cut decorations. The back with a reeded scroll handle. The thumb piece opening to reveal an interior fitted with a blue glass liner. Sold with a rare early Victorian Exeter silver Fiddle pattern mustard spoon by John Stone, dated 1837.Hallmarks:

Date letter "u" for 1795.
Condition:
Good.
No dings or dents to the body.
Lid with some minor creasing.
Liner in perfect condition.
Good hinge.
